This course offer aims at (very) advanced learners of English. You are at a very high level of English and would like to fine-tune and polish your knowledge and significantly increase your vocabulary. Often, learners need to achieve this level for university/college courses of study or for certain examinations for professional purposes. Prior to any course, we carry out a needs analysis and an entry-level test to make sure learners are in appropriate courses.
Prerequisites: B2 or equivalent typically completed Aim: This course gets you to one of the most advanced levels of English where you’re in a position to expertly communicate spontaneously, fluently about very complex topics and issues. You can do so in a very clear, structured and elaborate way. In other words, you can effectively use the language in any professional and social situations as well as in your studies. In writing, you can express your thoughts and opinions about any topic in a clear, precise and correct manner. Contents: While grammar structures are reviewed, this no longer is a main point. More important are meta structures on the sentence and text level dealing with context and cohesion and word formation using affixation. The vocabulary is again largely extended to cover practically all areas of cultural, social, scholastic and professional life. Competencies: Mix of reading, listening, writing and speaking skills to reach the level aims
You should choose a C2 course if you are a very advanced learner and would like to achieve near perfection in English. C2 represents the highest level in accordance with the CEFR, only native speakers of English rank above this level. Typically, this level of English is required for certain professions and/or corresponding entry exams or for certain university/college courses of study.
