What are the requirements and prerequisites?

First of all, this is completely dependent on your choice of course.
For an A1 course, you obviously do not need any prior knowledge or fulfill any prerequisites. After all, you are a complete beginner.
For an A2 course, you should indeed have some basic knowledge of German. You should at least have reached the A1 level.
For a B1 couse, it is important to have finished the beginner levels A1 and A2. At this stage, you have a good basic knowledge of German to build on.
Our B2 course starts where the previous courses have left off. This means, that knowledge acquired in A1, A2 and B1 courses represent an important prerequisite for this course level.
With the exception of the A1 course level, we always carry out level testing and a needs analysis to find out what level you are. This is important for us to find the right course for you.

Our courses are generally planned and designed as regular weekly group or small group courses. Your German teacher has long-standing experience in teaching German as a Foreign Language. Both you and your teacher work together and jointly plan the course and provide for a motivating and inspiring learning environment. Diversity is key and makes learning German easy and fun.
Our German courses are, of course, based on the guidelines of the European Framework of Reference for Languages and you will learn something about all exam-relevant content and topics. This assists you in improving and practising your listening, reading and most importantly speaking skills, while also strengthening your knowledge of structure and grammar.

In our German courses (levels A1/A2/B1), we usually use standard German course books as a common basis. These allow us to optimally prepare you for any of the various standardized language exams leading to the official language certificates. In addition, your teacher will take care that further interesting topics and aspects are included in the course. This ensures a great variety. Any of the learners and participants, however, may provide additional input and is in fact more than welcome to. After all, it is your course and you should have direct influence on content and objectives!!

This course takes place online and may be terminated at any time to the next month. You won’t face any long-lasting obligations and enjoy full flexibility.

You’ll extend your basic knowledge of German grammar, pronunciation, you’ll learn new vocab and improve your listening and reading skills. We especially focus on speaking German, as communication is key!!
You’ll be able to learn German in a nice and motivating setting. After all, it is your course and it should be fun and not cause any frustration.
